staying safe – what to expect


Ten Spa will reopen on June 5th! Management and staff have worked diligently during the COVID-19 closure to update its already rigorous sanitation and hygiene standards. In accordance to provincially mandated guidelines new policies and procedures will be in effect to ensure health and safety of guests and staff.

ten spa The Spa encompasses the entire tenth floor of The Fort Garry Hotel. Upon arrival you will be given spa slippers, a plush bathrobe, and a locker to use during your stay. Social distancing regulations are in place in all common areas including the lobby, change rooms and spa lounges. All spa linens, robes and towels are washed in our in-house commercial grade laundry facility. Spa sandals are being cleaned and sanitized in high temperature sanitizing machine.

change rooms All lockers will be assigned and sanitized after each use. An attendant will be available to provide any amenities required upon request. Our steam rooms, experiential showers and the Hamam will remain closed.

lounging Social distancing guidelines will be in effect in the common areas. Free Wi-Fi will be available for reading and browsing on your device. Please have your phone on silent mode.

my treatment Please specify at time of booking if you have a preference for a male or female therapist. We will endeavor to fulfill your request. Electronical pre-treatment Medical Release forms will be provided electronically and must be submitted 24 hours prior to your visit. during my treatment For your privacy, professional draping is performed during all services. All treatments can be enjoyed without clothing; however, undergarments can be worn if preferred. Following COVID-19 protocols, all therapists will be wearing PPE. Masks are available upon request and guests may be asked to wear them for selected services. Full sanitization of all treatment spaces between each service will be carried out.

guest timeline We ask that you arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Our showers are available for a refreshing shower prior to your service. Steam rooms and experiential showers will be temporarily unavailable. We will be regulating the number of guests in our change room areas. Arriving late may interfere with the pacing of guests and your appointment time, and could result in a less effective treatment.

health problems and comfort level Our electronical pre-treatment release form is provided on our website. This form must be submitted 24 hours prior to your visit. All Ten Spa staff will be using the provincially mandated self-screening tool before being allowed to come to work.

payment and tipping Ten Spa has transitioned to cashless transactions. For your convenience, a 15% gratuity will be added to your services.

cancellation policy We are responding to COVID-19 with more flexibility for our guests. Although we are still requesting the courtesy of 24 hours notice if a service appointment needs to be cancelled; in the event of an emergency or sickness the 50% cancellation fee can be waived.

valuables Please remove all jewelry prior to your treatment. Even better, we suggest leaving any jewelry or non-essential items at home.
