staying safe – what to expect
Ten Spa will reopen on June 5 in accordance with the regulations and guidelines put forth by the province of Manitoba. Management and staff have worked diligently during the closure to update its already rigorous sanitation and hygiene standards and implement new policies and procedures to promote health and safety of guests and staff.
ten spa The Spa encompasses the entire tenth floor of The Fort Garry Hotel. Upon arrival you will be given spa slippers, a plush bathrobe, and a locker to use during your stay. Social distancing regulations are in place in all common areas including the lobby, change rooms and spa lounges. We are meeting and exceeding all provincial regulatory guidelines relating to sanitation and hygiene. All spa linens, robes and towels are washed in our in-house commercial grade laundry facility. Also, the spa sandals are being cleaned and sanitized in a commercial grade, high temperature machine.
change rooms By managing the volume of our bookings, we guarantee social distancing guidelines in the common areas. The lockers are assigned and sanitized after each use. Facial and body care products are available for your use. An assigned attendant will ensure all social distancing and full sanitization. Disposable changeroom items as well as hair styling products and tools will be available upon request. Our steam rooms, experiential showers and the Hamam will remain closed.

my treatment Your treatment may be performed by a male or female therapist. Please specify at time of booking if you have a preference and we will endeavor to fulfill your request. Please keep in mind, however, that all spa employees are trained to respect the privacy of our guests. Medical intake forms will be provided electronically and must be submitted prior to your visit.
during my treatment All treatments can be enjoyed without clothing; however, undergarments can be worn if preferred. For your privacy, professional draping is performed during all services. All staff are required to wear PPE. Masks are available upon request and guests may be asked to wear them for selected services. Full sanitization of all treatment spaces between each service will be carried out.
guest timeline We ask that you arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Our showers are available for a refreshing shower prior to your service. Our steam rooms will be temporarily unavailable. We will be regulating the number of guests inside of our change rooms so arriving late may interfere with your appointment time, resulting in a less effective treatment.
health problems and comfort level Our electronical pre-treatment release form is provided on our website and must be submitted prior to your visit. During this time, we are not allowing anyone to enter the building if they are feeling unwell.

All staff will use the self-screening tool before coming to work and their temperatures will be checked at the beginning of every shift.
payment and tipping Ten Spa has transitioned to cashless transactions. Tipping is graciously accepted for work well done. A 15% gratuity will be added to all services; however, any additional amount is left to your discretion.
cancellation policy We request the courtesy of 24 hours notice in the event a service appointment needs to be cancelled.

A 50% cancellation fee will be applied if no advance cancellation notice is given. A 100% no-show charge is applied to a missed appointment. We require a credit card to guarantee the booking. In the event of an emergency the cancellation fee can be waived.
valuables To receive the full benefit from our services all jewelry must be removed prior to your treatment. We suggest leaving any jewelry or non-essential items at home.
tour philosophy To protect the privacy of our guests, we limit the number of people that tour our facility. Tours must be arranged in advance.
